Nice to meet you.
ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Leanne and I have the best job in the world!
I have been a Speech and Language Therapist since 2008 and was lucky to work in a number of specialities for the NHS. In 2014, I took a short break from SLT living in Australia and experiencing life in different parts of the world. After returning home in 2015, my career took a different path as I stepped into the independent SLT world. In 2022, after having my second little one, I set up my independent practice. It was a challenge with a newborn and his, then, 3 year old sister in tow- but it has been so brilliant to work with fabulous children, their supportive families and great schools. I really can’t wait to see what’s next in store for all the wonderful children I support!
I am child- led, and my approach is curious, play based and respectful of the child’s preferences. I focus on building a positive connection and rapport not only with the children, but with their families and schools.

My areas of interest are supporting neurodivergent children- and I have lots of experience of working with autistic children in schools and in their homes. I have completed additional training in Gestalt Language Processing and continue to develop my special interest in Executive Function, AAC, Language Disorders, and Trauma Informed approaches. Every day, I am striving to be neurodiversity affirming. I also provide support for a number of schools working together to discover and support those children with speech, language and communication needs. For information on school based support, please contact me.
"I love exploring the outdoors with my family- a walk in the woods or a paddle in the sea. When I am not chasing around two young children, I love to drink (warm) tea and play sport…not at the same time!"
